Sally Snow
Bio

The "Searching for Slumber" EP, the latest effort from indie rock artist “Sally Snow” has come together just as singer/songwriter Stephan Vien had hoped. With Mike G returning on lead guitar, Luke Mackenzie (of The Floating Abigails) on Bass, Brett Robertson on Drums, and Joey Vantol's engineering and production, the record will not leave fans disappointed. Currently migrating accross the country, "Searching for Slumber" has been shaking hands with all the right people. Making quite an impression on director Chris Goldale, who has recently filmed a video for the records third track "Conscience" which is currently available to watch online. Also expect to hear singles like "Bruises", and "Something to Hate" on a local radio station soon.

It’s been a few years since the release of The Demos, a compilation of works spanning half a decade between Vien and a variety of other musicians. These recordings allowed Vien to gain regular radio play on CHRW London, and even a television spot on London’s morning show New Day, where he had the chance to perform for an audience of over 50, 000 daily viewers. These solo compilations also gave Vien a chance to gain more exposure in his hometown of Timmins Ontario, showcasing his music on MCTV Timmins and The Box.

Sally Snow has received rave reviews, attracting audience comparison to artists like Hayden, Nirvana, Neil Young, and the Pixies.

Currently in Vancouver BC, be sure to keep your ears close to the ground for this up and coming artist.

"How Low"

Maybe you know this, too: you hear a song for the first time and get the feeling like you always knew this one? Maybe it’s this swinging groove getting across, as if the FOO FIGHTERS met the QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE on an off-the-cuff Garage-happening. Melancholic and yet so uplifting - carrying you off immediately… quite snotty, brashly and yet so routinely clever to the point. With “How Low” SALLY SNOW has come up with such a catchy Alternative Rock party-tune that will leave no one sit/stand still, for sure!

"Something to Hate"

"I love this track. Great vocals with plenty of emotion. Great production too. One of the best straight on rock songs I've heard in a long time..."

"Bruises"

"...such a clever thing in the best (early) FOO FIGHTERS-tradition, which is hard to escape when it's just invaded. Along with "How Low "absolutely essential recommendation for every Indie/Alternative-Rock-fan!"
